Presbytery Day Conference 2023

Around 120 of us gathered for our Presbytery Day Conference,held on Saturday 13th May, when Pastor Jeremy Walker was our guest speaker. Jeremy is the Pastor of Maidenbower Baptist Church, and a well known Conference speaker. He spoke on the theme of The Shepherd & His Sheep, considering the character & work of Christ and His People, from John 10. Recording of Jeremy’s addresses are below.

During the day, we also enjoyed our Annual Meeting of Presbytery, when the outgoing Moderator, Rev Andrew Lucas, brought his reflections on the year. We heard from two delegates from sister churches - Rev Falko Drijhout from the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of England & Wales (EPCEW), and Rev Trevor Kirkland from the Free Church of Scotland Continuing (FCC). We were delighted that Rev Robert Johnston was installed as the new Moderator of Presbytery, and he brought an address from 1 John 3 entitled “Little children in the heart of a loving God”.

A particular highlight of the day was seeing the excellent Sunday School Projects that children from across the churches had been compiling. We also enjoyed good food & times of fellowship. A huge thanks to all who made the day possible.
