Presbytery Day Conference 2024
We were blessed with a fantastic Presbytery Day Conference on Saturday 11th May, when Pastor Geoff Thomas was our guest speaker. Geoff spoke to us richly on the theme of Watch & Pray, counselling us to patiently wait on the LORD, and in our impotence to grasp at his omnipotence in prayer. It was a timely encouragement & challenge to us from God’s Word.
During the day, we also enjoyed our Annual Meeting of Presbytery, when the outgoing Moderator, Rev Robert Johnston, brought his reflections on the year. Unfortunately, none of the invited delegates were able to attend in person, but we received a warm letter of greeting from our friends in EPCEW. Rev John Roger was then installed as the new Moderator of Presbytery, and he brought an address from Isaiah 40, encouraging us to “Behold our God”.
We were very thankful to the Ballyclare & Knock congregations, who organised superb children’s programmes during the teaching sessions. A special highlight of PDC is the opportunity to enjoy fellowship with friends from other congregations, and we really enjoyed this over coffee & lunch. A huge thanks to our friends at Crumlin EPC for hosting us, and to the Presbytery Day Conference Committee for organising the programme.
